Stage 1 ECU Calibration + Handheld Flasher — Yamaha YZF-R1

The crossplane crank gives this engine its character and also makes it unusually sensitive to a lazy fuel map. Every cylinder gets corrected individually here, not as a set of four.

What the Stage 1 calibration changes

• Speed and gear-based restrictions removed
• Fuel tables corrected across the whole load range, targeting a safe air/fuel ratio under sustained load
• Throttle map made linear, so a small input gives a small response
• Engine braking reduced one step
• Cooling fan brought on earlier so it sheds heat sooner in traffic
• Quickshifter cut window shortened, up and down where fitted
• Rev limiter raised where the internals allow it

The handheld flasher

Ships pre-loaded with your calibration and plugs into the diagnostic port. No dealer visit, no ECU removal, no soldering. It keeps a copy of your original factory file, so you can put the bike back to stock in a few minutes before a service visit and flash the tune back afterwards. The tool pairs to one VIN.

Tell us your exact year and anything already fitted — exhaust, filter, decat, downpipe. The calibration is built around what is actually on the vehicle, not around what usually is.
